2021 Mission Trip

Cape Charles, Virginia

During the week of July 24 - 31, Chesterfield Baptist collaborated with Cape Charles Baptist to serve their community through a program called Splash Camp. Splash Camp provides daycare for children ages 4 - 12 from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM for a very nominal fee. Cape Charles Baptist had run this program with paid staff for 8 years, then, between a staffing change and the Covid-19 pandemic, it seemed as if the program was lost. Pastor Russell Goodrich prayed for a way to breathe life back into Splash Camp and was given the vision to partner with different church mission teams to plan, organize, fund, and staff it. Chesterfield Baptist was honored to be one of the mission teams to serve this great community alongside this wonderfully missional church.
