History

Chesterfield Baptist has a long and proud history.  Since 1857 we have sought to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the community and the world.  Early in our history we voluntarily affiliated with the Middle District Baptist Association, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the Southern Baptist Convention, in an effort to help carry the gospel beyond our four walls and our neighborhood.

Started as a small country church, we are still a family. That sense of family permeates much of our life together as believers.  Though we now number far more than those eight original members, we still try very hard to know one another, love one another and show genuine compassion toward each other and the world.
